01 / THE BRIDGE

IRELAND DOESN'T HAVE A TALENT PROBLEM- IT'S AN ACCESS PROBLEM

Ireland is producing exceptional dancers. But the route between training and professional work isn’t always clear.

CHECK ONE TWO exists to bridge that gap.

A professional dance programme combining high-level training with industry access, professional development and connection. Built for dancers who want to develop their craft, keep evolving and understand how to navigate the industry they’re working in.

This is where training meets industry.

06 / WHY CHECK ONE TWO

WE’RE NOT TRAINING FOR THE SAKE OF TRAINING.

WE’RE NOT TRAINING FOR THE SAKE OF TRAINING.

There are more ways to train than ever before. The question is: What are you training for?

CHECK ONE TWO seeks to bridge the gap between dancers, choreographers and casting. Connecting training to industry. It isn’t an agency. It doesn’t promise you a job. And it isn’t here to manufacture one version of a dancer. It provides access to a room where professional and emerging professional dancers can keep developing their skills under the mentorship of the creatives who are casting in Ireland right now.

BETTER DANCERS. SMARTER PROFESSIONALS. STRONGER CONNECTIONS.

07 / WHO IT’S FOR

IS THIS YOUR ROOM?

IS THIS YOUR ROOM?

CHECK ONE TWO is designed for dancers aged 18+ who are serious about developing professionally.

A recent graduate asking, “what now?” / A professional dancer looking for consistent high-level training. / Returning to Ireland after training abroad. / Transitioning from student to working professional. / Looking to develop jazz technique and versatility. / Looking for a room that challenges you again.

WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR PERFECTION.

We’re looking for individuality. Dancers who are willing to be challenged, collaborative and above all, committed to the process.

08 / FOUNDER

WHY I BUILT CHECK ONE TWO.

WHY I BUILT CHECK ONE TWO.

I’ve spent over a decade working across the industry as a professional dancer, educator and choreographer. I’ve watched the level of dance training in Ireland grow enormously. But I’ve also watched incredibly talented dancers, students that I have taught, finish their training and be left asking the same question: What happens now? The professional industry can be difficult to navigate- particularly when so much of it relies on relationships, reputation, and simply knowing where the opportunities are. I wanted to create the room I would have wanted moving back home. Somewhere dancers could keep being challenged technically, while bringing in my own connections to help them meet people working in the industry, ask honest questions, understand professional expectations, and build genuine connections. That’s where CHECK ONE TWO started.
